What If I Take an Overdose?

An overdose with megestrol ES is usually not expected to be extremely dangerous. Nonetheless, it is important to seek immediate medical attention if you happen to overdose on this or any other medication.

Storage Information

Megestrol ES should be stored at room temperature, in a tightly sealed container, and protected from heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Megestrol ES?

If you forget to take your megestrol ES dose, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to make up for a missed dose.
 

Is There a Generic Version?

Megestrol ES is not available in generic form (see Generic Megace ES for more information). Regular megestrol oral suspension and tablets are available in generic form, however (see Generic Megace).
