Side Effects of Adapalene

Although most people tolerate adapalene well, this acne medication can cause side effects. When adapalene was studied in clinical trials, some of the most commonly reported problems included scaling, dryness, redness, and persistent burning of the skin. If you develop any serious side effects during treatment (such as skin redness that does not improve within two or three weeks), contact your healthcare provider.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Adapalene

As with any medicine, adapalene (Differin®) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with this medication. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list with you.)
