Zolpidem Sublingual Tablet
Zolpidem sublingual tablets are licensed to treat two types of insomnia. The tablets dissolve under the tongue and should only be used once per night. Nausea, headaches, and fatigue are some of the drug's possible side effects.
The zolpidem sublingual tablet (Edluar®, Intermezzo®) is a prescription medication approved for the treatment of insomnia. Intermezzo is specifically designed for people who wake up in the middle of the night and have difficulty falling back asleep, whereas Edluar is meant for people who have trouble falling asleep at bedtime.
Like many other sleep medications, zolpidem sublingual tablets are a controlled substance and have the potential for abuse.

Just like any medicine, zolpidem sublingual tablets may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common zolpidem sublingual tablet side effects include but are not limited to:
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Fatigue.
