Triglide Side Effects

Some common Triglide side effects include back pain, headache, and body weakness. Among the side effects with Triglide that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider are unexplained rash, passing brown or dark-colored urine, and nausea or vomiting. You should also contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (especially if you also have a fever or are unusually tired), as these symptoms can indicate a rare but serious condition called rhabdomyolysis in some people taking Triglide. Migraines, diabetes, and dry mouth are a few rare side effects of Triglide.

Triglide Side Effects: An Introduction

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with
 Triglide™ (fenofibrate); but not everyone who takes Triglide will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate Triglide well. When people do develop Triglide side effects, they are generally minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or a healthcare provider. In previous research studies, up to 5 percent of people taking Triglide discontinued their medicine because of side effects.
 
The use of Triglide has been associated with a rare but serious side effect known as rhabdomyolysis (serious breakdown of muscles). Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness -- especially if they are accompanied by a fever or unusual tiredness (see Triglide and Muscle Pain).
