Triglide Dosing: An Introduction
The dose of
Triglide™ (
fenofibrate) that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
- Your age
- The medical condition being treated
- Other medical conditions you may have
- Other medications you may be currently taking.
As with any drug, do not adjust your Triglide dose unless your healthcare provider instructs you to do so.
Triglide Dosage for High Triglycerides
The recommended starting dose for people with
high triglycerides (fat-like substances) and normal
LDL cholesterol levels is Triglide 50 mg to Triglide 160 mg once a day. Your healthcare provider will recommend that you return to have your
triglyceride levels rechecked after four to eight weeks. If your triglycerides are still not at the desired level, your healthcare provider may choose to increase your dose or change your medication. The maximum daily dosage of Triglide is 160 mg.
