Side Effects of Tri-Previfem

Some of the common side effects of Tri-Previfem include breakthrough bleeding and spotting between periods, changes in sex drive, and bloating. In most cases, people do not require medical attention when they develop side effects while taking Tri-Previfem. Side effects that are potentially serious and should be reported to a healthcare provider include chest pain, high cholesterol, and signs of a stroke.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Tri-Previfem

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Tri-Previfem® (norgestimate/ethinyl estradiol); however, not every woman who uses the contraceptive will experience side effects. In fact, most tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Tri-Previfem. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of Tri-Previfem side effects with you. Tri-Previfem is a generic version of Ortho Tri-Cyclen®.)
