Precautions and Warnings With Tri-Previfem

To reduce the risk of pregnancy or other side effects, talk to your healthcare provider about precautions and warnings with Tri-Previfem before starting this form of birth control. Certain women should not use Tri-Previfem, including those with severe hypertension, heart disease, or liver disease. Tell your healthcare provider about all medical conditions you have and any medications you are taking before using Tri-Previfem.

Also, let your healthcare provider know if you:
 
  • Will be having surgery
  • Smoke cigarettes
  • Are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding.
     
You should also be sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
