Tolvaptan Side Effects

Clinical studies have shown that a decreased appetite, lack of energy, and a dry mouth are among the most common side effects of tolvaptan. Although reactions to this medication tend to be minor and easy to treat, serious reactions can also occur. Contact your healthcare provider right away if you develop problems like confusion, muscle weakness, or trouble speaking.

As with any medicine, tolvaptan (Samsca®) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
