Tobramycin Inhalation Solution

Important Information for Your Healthcare Provider

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to using this medication if you have:
 
  • Kidney disease, such as kidney failure (renal failure)
  • Hearing problems
  • A balance disorder or dizziness
  • A disorder that affects your muscles, such as myasthenia gravis or Parkinson's disease
  • Had an organ transplant
  • Breathing problems, such as wheezing, coughing, or chest tightness
  • Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
 
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
   
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

How Does It Work?

Tobramycin inhalation solution is an antibiotic medication. It works by killing the bacteria causing the infection. It does this by interfering with the ability of the bacteria to make proteins, which are necessary for the bacteria to grow and multiply.
