Tapizole

Were you looking for information about Tapazole? Tapizole is a common misspelling of Tapazole.

In people with hyperthyroidism, the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone. When this occurs, Tapazole® (methimazole) can be used to bring the levels back under control. Possible side effects include nausea, headache, and hair loss. Before starting treatment, tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, over the age of 65, or have any allergies.

This prescription antithyroid drug comes in the form of a tablet and is usually taken three times daily. If you miss a dose of Tapazole, take it as soon as you remember -- unless it is almost time for your next dose, in which case you should skip the missed dose.
