Sirolimus Levels

Your blood levels of sirolimus (Rapamune®) will be monitored as long as you take this medication. Why? It's important for your healthcare provider to know how much sirolimus is in your bloodstream to ensure that you are taking the right dosage. If your levels are too high or too low, your healthcare provider can adjust your dose to keep your blood levels within the recommended range.
Your levels will be checked using a simple blood test. In addition to getting your blood work done, it's important to watch for signs of transplant rejection and side effects while taking this medication.
