Sinecatechins Dosage

People who use sinecatechins will be given the same dosage, regardless of their weight or the severity of their condition. This prescription drug comes as an ointment that is applied to the affected areas three times daily for up to 16 weeks. Make sure to avoid applying the medicine in the eyes, inside the vagina, or inside the anus.

An Introduction to Your Sinecatechins Dose

There is only one standard dose for sinecatechins (Veregen®), regardless of your weight or the severity of your condition. As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.

Recommended Dosing Guidelines for Sinecatechins

The standard sinecatechins dosage for treating external genital warts or external perianal warts is three applications a day until the warts are gone (up to a maximum of 16 weeks). A thin strand about half a centimeter long should be applied to each wart. Carefully dab the medication to completely cover each wart, leaving a thin layer on the warts. There is no need to wash off previous layers of medication before applying more.

Avoid applying the medication to the eyes, inside the vagina, or inside the anus. Extreme irritation would likely occur. Uncircumcised males treating warts under the foreskin need to carefully retract the foreskin and gently clean the area every day to prevent phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin). Also, avoid exposing the treated area to ultraviolet (UV) light, as it is unknown how this may affect the skin being treated.
