Your healthcare provider may prescribe simvastatin (Zocor®) if you have high cholesterol or high triglycerides. This medication can increase HDL cholesterol ("good cholesterol"), while decreasing LDL cholesterol ("bad cholesterol"), total cholesterol, and triglycerides.
