Drug Interactions With Rabeprazole

Rabeprazole drug interactions can occur with a number of different medications. Examples of drugs that can interact with rabeprazole include digoxin, ketoconazole, and warfarin. If you are taking any of these medications, your doctor may choose to monitor your progress more closely.

 

An Introduction to Drug Interactions With Rabeprazole

Rabeprazole (Aciphex®) has a number of medicines that it can potentially interact with, including:
 
  • Digoxin (Digitek®, Lanoxin®, Lanoxicap®)
  • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
  • Warfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®)
 
Digoxin
If you are taking both rabeprazole and digoxin, your body may metabolize them differently than intended. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your progress more closely.
 
Ketoconazole
If you are taking both rabeprazole and ketoconazole, your body may metabolize them differently than intended. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your progress more closely.
 
Warfarin
If you are taking both rabeprazole and warfarin, your body may metabolize them differently than intended. You healthcare provider may choose to monitor your International Normalized Ratio (INR) and prothrombin time more frequently and adjust accordingly. These two tests are used measure how well your blood is clotting.
