Rabeprazole Dosage for Healing of Duodenal Ulcers

The recommended starting dose of rabeprazole for the healing of duodenal ulcers is rabeprazole 20 mg once a day after the morning meal for four to eight weeks. If the ulcer has not healed, your doctor may recommend treatment with rabeprazole for another eight weeks.
 

Rabeprazole Dosage for H. Pylori Treatment

Treatment to kill Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) involves using two other drugs besides rabeprazole. This therapy is called "triple therapy". Triple therapy to kill H. pylori uses rabeprazole 20 mg (twice daily), plus amoxicillin 1000 mg (twice daily) and clarithromycin 500 mg (twice daily). All three medications are taken for seven days.
 

Dose of Rabeprazole for Pathological Hypersecretory Conditions

The recommended starting dose of rabeprazole for people with excess acid production is rabeprazole 60 mg a day. Your healthcare provider may choose to increase the rabeprazole dosage if symptoms continue or decrease the dose if side effects occur.
