Qualaquin® (quinine sulfate) is a drug licensed to treat malaria. Specifically, this medicine is used to treat uncomplicated (or mild) malaria. It is typically used three times daily for seven days, and comes in the form of a capsule. This prescription medication works by killing the parasite that causes the blood infection. As with any drug, there are possible side effects -- commonly reported side effects with this product include nausea, headaches, and dizziness.
