Prednazone

Prednisone is a prescription drug that is used for treating various medical conditions. It is usually used as short-term treatment to help reduce inflammation and suppress an overactive immune system. The medication comes in tablet or liquid form, and is taken just once a day or several times a day, depending on the condition being treated. Side effects of prednisone may include stomach irritation, headaches, and high blood pressure.
If you forget to take your dose of prednisone as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. While you should not double your dose of prednisone, it is unlikely that you would experience severe or dangerous symptoms from overdosing once on the drug. Taking too much prednisone over a long time can cause increased hair growth, acne, and a round face.
