Pravistatin

Pravastatin (Pravachol®) is a prescription drug used to treat high cholesterol and high triglycerides, and to prevent heart disease and other heart-related problems. It belongs to a class of drugs called statins, which work by blocking a specific enzyme that controls the rate of cholesterol production in the body. Pravastatin comes in tablet form and is available in four different strengths. Some of the potential side effects of this drug include constipation, nausea, muscle aches, and increased liver enzymes.
