Pravastatine

Pravastatin (Pravachol®) is a prescription medicine used for lowering high cholesterol and high triglycerides. It comes in tablet form and is available as a generic or brand-name drug. By blocking an enzyme that controls the rate of cholesterol production in the body, pravastatin can decrease LDL ("bad cholesterol"), increase HDL ("good cholesterol"), and reduce triglyceride levels.
