Phenergan 12.5 mg

Phenergan® (promethazine hydrochloride) is a prescription medicine approved for treating nausea or vomiting, allergies, motion sickness, and various other conditions.
A typical dosage for treating nausea and vomiting in adults is Phenergan 12.5 to 25 mg every four to six hours as needed. For children, healthcare provider will determine the amount based on your child's weight.
The standard recommended dosage of Phenergan for treating allergies is 25 mg before bedtime. For treating allergic reactions (such as reactions to blood transfusions), a typical dose is 25 mg. This may be repeated within two hours if necessary.
The recommended Phenergan dose for treating motion sickness in adults is 25 mg twice daily. On the first day of travel, the first dose should be taken 30 to 60 minutes before the anticipated travel, and the second one should be taken 8 to 12 hours later, if necessary.
On subsequent days of travel, the first dose should be taken right after getting up in the morning, and the second one should be taken before the evening meal. A similar dosing regimen is recommended for children, except with a lower dose of Phenergan (12.5 to 25 mg twice daily).
