Pentazocine and Naloxone

Pentazocine/naloxone (Talwin® Nx) is a prescription medicine prescribed for pain relief. Specifically, pentazocine/naloxone tablets are taken every 3 to 4 hours to treat moderate-to-severe pain in adults and children as young as 12 years old. 
 
While most people tolerate this medication well, some people may develop side effects. Some of the reported problems include nausea, constipation, and headaches.
 
This medicine is available in generic form only and comes in one strength. Your dosage, however, will depend on the severity of your pain, other medications you are taking, and various other factors.
