Omeprozole

Omeprazole (Prilosec®) is a medication used for treating various conditions related to the stomach, esophagus, and intestines. It is approved for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, Helicobacter pylori infections, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and pathological hypersecretory conditions.
Omeprazole is a type of proton pump inhibitor that works by stopping the production of acid. The drug, which is available by prescription only, comes in capsule form and is available in three different strengths. Omeprazole is available both with or without a prescription.
