® NS) is not designed for long-term use. You should use it for 8 to 12 weeks, depending on your healthcare provider's instructions. After this time, you will either abruptly stop using nicotine nasal spray or your dose will be gradually decreased.
It is important that you stop smoking while using nicotine nasal spray to ensure long-term success. This also helps prevent nicotine overdose. If you are having trouble avoiding smoking while taking this drug, or if you think you are becoming dependent upon it, talk to your healthcare provider.
