When certain medicines, such as antacids or calcium supplements, are taken in conjunction with Nature-Throid, drug interactions could potentially occur. These drugs can bind to the thyroid medication in the digestive tract, preventing it from being absorbed into the body. Some of the other medicines that may cause negative Nature-Throid drug interactions include cholestyramine, estrogens, colestipol, and diabetes medications.

Antacids or gas-relieving medications
Calcium (including calcium-containing antacids and calcium supplements)
Certain seizure medications, such as:

Carbamazepine (Carbatrol^®, Epitol^®, Equetro^®, Tegretol^®)
Phenytoin (Dilantin^®, Phenytek^®)

Cholestyramine (Prevalite^®, Questran^®, Questran^® Light)
Colestipol (Colestid^®)
Diabetes medications
Estrogens, such as birth control pills, patches, rings, or hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
Theophylline (Uniphyl^®, Theocron^®, TheoCap^®, Theo-24^®, Elixophyllin^®)
Warfarin (Coumadin^®, Jantoven^®).
