Nature-Throid Drug Interactions

When certain medicines, such as antacids or calcium supplements, are taken in conjunction with Nature-Throid, drug interactions could potentially occur. These drugs can bind to the thyroid medication in the digestive tract, preventing it from being absorbed into the body. Some of the other medicines that may cause negative Nature-Throid drug interactions include cholestyramine, estrogens, colestipol, and diabetes medications.

 

An Overview of Nature-Throid Drug Interactions

Nature-Throid™ (thyroid USP) may interact with several other medications, including non-prescription products. Some of the medicines that may lead to Nature-Throid drug interactions include:
 
  • Antacids or gas-relieving medications
  • Calcium (including calcium-containing antacids and calcium supplements)
