Nalosone

Were you looking for information about Naloxone? Nalosone is a common misspelling of naloxone.

Naloxone hydrochloride (Narcan®), a type of opioid antidote, is used to reverse the effects of high doses of opioids, such as in the case of an overdose or when high doses are necessary for surgery or cancer pain. This prescription drug can also be used in people who have septic shock to help increase blood pressure.

Although most people tolerate naloxone well, it is not suitable for everyone. A few of the conditions you should let your healthcare provider know about before taking this medication include problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys.

(Click Naloxone for more information on how this medication works, other existing medical conditions you should tell your healthcare provider about, and tips on when and how it is given. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
