Mitomycin Injection

Before starting chemotherapy treatment with mitomycin (Mutamycin®), the dose your healthcare provider prescribes will be based on how much you weigh, how tall you are, other medical conditions you may have, and a number of other factors.
Mitomycin comes in the form of a powder, which is dissolved in sterile water to form a liquid. It is usually given through a needle inserted into a vein (an intravenous, or IV, injection). The mitomycin injection is given once every six to eight weeks. It is administered by a healthcare provider in a healthcare setting.
