What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Mevacor?

If you do not take your Mevacor dose as scheduled, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the one you forgot and take your next dose instead. Do not take a double dose.
 

Available Strengths

Mevacor tablets are available in two different strengths. These include:
 
  • Mevacor 20 mg
  • Mevacor 40 mg.
 
At one time, Mevacor was also available in 10-mg tablets, although they are no longer being made. However, generic lovastatin 10-mg tablets are still available.
