What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Mevacor?

If you do not take your dose as scheduled, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the one you forgot and take your next dose instead. Never take a double dose!
 

Strengths

There are a few different strengths of tablets available. These include:
 
  • Mevacor 20 mg
  • Mevacor 40 mg.
 
At one time, Mevacor was also available in 10 mg tablets, although they are no longer being made. However, generic lovastatin 10 mg tablets are still available.

 

Generic Mevacor

There is a generic version of Mevacor (known as Lovastatin tablets) available.
