Mevacor Drug Interactions

When medicines such as digoxin, verapamil, and niacin are taken with Mevacor, drug interactions may occur, resulting in complications or side effects. Because a combination of medications can cause your body to metabolize the drugs differently than intended, combining Mevacor and certain other drugs can increase your risk of developing serious side effects such as severe muscle problems.

If you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if you have a fever or you feel ill, it is important to contact your healthcare provider immediately.
