Maxipime Drug Interactions

Make sure your healthcare provider knows if you are taking birth control pills, diuretics, or certain other antibiotics before starting treatment with Maxipime. Adverse drug interactions can occur if it is combined with products such as these, potentially resulting in kidney damage, high levels of Maxipime in the blood, or other complications.

An Overview of Interactions With Maxipime

Maxipime® (cefepime) may react with a number of other products. Some of the drugs that can interact with Maxipime include but are not limited to:
 
  • Aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as:
 
    • Amikacin (Amikin®)
    • Gentamicin
    • Kanamycin (Kantrex®)
    • Neomycin (Neo-Fradin®)
    • Streptomycin
