Simvastatin Tablets
Simvastatin (Zocor®) is a prescription medication approved for treating conditions associated with heart disease, such as high cholesterol. It can also be used to treat high triglycerides and to prevent cardiovascular disease.
The product is available in five different strengths and comes in the form of a tablet. Simvastatin is typically taken once a day, in the evening. It is important to avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as grapefruit products can increase the drug levels in your blood.
Even though most people tolerate this medication well, side effects are possible. Some of the most commonly reported simvastatin side effects include headache, stomach pain, muscle pain, and constipation.
