Leuprolide Manufacturer
There are three brand-name versions of leuprolide acetate: Eligard®, Lupron®, and Lupron Depot®. Not surprisingly, the various forms of leuprolide are made by different manufacturers.
Eligard is manufactured by Tolmar, Inc., for Tolmar Therapeutics, Inc. It is distributed by sanofi-aventis U.S., LLC. Lupron Depot is manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited for Abbott Laboratories. Lupron is no longer available as a brand-name medication. However, its generic versions are made by a few different companies, including Sandoz, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc., and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
