What If I Take an Overdose?

An overdose with Jantoven could potentially cause life-threatening problems as the result of dangerous internal bleeding. If you happen to take too much of this medication, seek immediate medical attention.
(Click Coumadin Overdose for more information.)

How Should Jantoven Be Stored?

Jantoven should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you do not take your Jantoven as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as possible on the same day. However, do not take two doses on the same day or take a double dose. Be sure to keep track of any missed doses (perhaps on a calendar), as your healthcare provider will use this information when monitoring your response to the medication.
If you miss one or more doses, be sure to contact your healthcare provider for further instructions.

Available Strengths

Jantoven tablets come in the following strengths:
  • Jantoven 1 mg (pink)
  • Jantoven 2 mg (lavender)
  • Jantoven 2.5 mg (green)
  • Jantoven 3 mg (tan)
  • Jantoven 4 mg (blue)
  • Jantoven 5 mg (peach)
  • Jantoven 6 mg (teal)
  • Jantoven 7.5 mg (yellow)
  • Jantoven 10 mg (white).
Each tablet is a different color. The colors are important, as it is essential to make sure you have the correct strength (taking too little or too much can be dangerous). Every time you refill your Jantoven prescription, make sure the tablets are the correct color.
