What If I Take an Overdose of This Medication?

Taking too much filgrastim can increase the white blood cells too much. Other than high white blood cells, however, it is not known exactly what to expect from an overdose with this medicine.

How Should Filgrastim Be Stored?

Filgrastim should be stored under refrigeration. However, it may be taken out of the refrigerator and allowed to reach room temperature before injection. It can be kept outside the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but must be discarded after 24 hours.

Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you do not take your filgrastim as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose. If you have missed more than one dose, it is important that you contact your healthcare provider.
