Artemether/Lumefantrine Drug Information

If you have uncomplicated (or mild) malaria, a healthcare provider may prescribe artemether/lumefantrine (Coartem®). This medication comes in tablet form and is usually taken twice a day for three days. Dizziness, nausea, and headaches are some of the possible side effects of this drug.
 
It's important to review this drug's safety information with your healthcare provider before starting treatment with artemether/lumefantrine. This medicine may not be suitable for everyone, so make sure your healthcare provider is aware if you have any other medical conditions (such as problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver) or if you are taking any other types of medicine (including nonprescription medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements).
