Dalteparin sodium (Fragmin®) is a medication used to prevent and treat blood clots in certain people. This prescription medicine comes in the form of an injection and is given once or twice a day, just under the skin (subcutaneously). This product may not be suitable for everyone, so let your healthcare provider know of any medical conditions you have or any medications you are taking (including vitamins and supplements). Potential side effects may include bleeding and bruising.
