Some of the reported side effects of beclomethasone nasal spray include runny nose, nose or throat irritation, lightheadedness, and sneezing. Although most side effects are minor and do not typically require medical attention, you should contact your healthcare provider immediately if you develop serious beclomethasone nasal spray side effects, such as frequent and severe nosebleeds, frequent infections, or signs of an allergic reaction.
As with any medicine, side effects are possible with beclomethasone nasal spray (Beconase® AQ); however, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Some side effects with beclomethasone nasal spray, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
- Signs of steroid toxicity, such as:
- Changes in your menstrual period
- Acne-like skin problems
- Weight gain in the abdomen (stomach), face, neck, or upper back
- Unexplained stretch marks on the skin
- Frequent infections or infections that do not go away
- Frequent, severe nosebleeds
- Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
- Unexplained rash
- Unexplained swelling.
