Available in the form of a tablet, ambrisentan is prescribed to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). This drug is taken once daily and works by preventing the blood vessels from constricting (narrowing). Although most people tolerate this medicine well, side effects are possible and include nasal congestion, inflamed sinuses, and swelling.
