Levoxyl is not a "one-size-fits-all" medication because people have varying degrees of
hypothyroidism and varying responses to drugs. Doses must be individualized for each person.
Some healthcare providers will recommend starting with a low dosage (such as 25 mcg or 50 mcg of Levoxyl), while others may recommend a high dosage. You will need frequent blood tests to monitor your thyroid function, and the results of these tests will guide your healthcare provider to make any necessary dosing adjustments.
