Lansoprazole DosingThe dose of lansoprazole normally recommended for adults with symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is 15 mg a day for up to eight weeks. When cases of erosive esophagitis are treated with lansoprazole, dosing guidelines usually recommend starting with a dose of 30 mg a day for up to eight weeks. The recommended lansoprazole dosage for the healing of a duodenal ulcer is 15 mg once a day for four weeks. When used to treat people with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infections, a lansoprazole dose of 30 mg taken twice daily is combined with other medications to kill the bacteria.
