General Lansoprazole Dosing Information

Some considerations for people taking lansoprazole include the following:
 
  • Lansoprazole should be taken before eating.
 
  • Lansoprazole should not be crushed or chewed. If you have difficulty swallowing, talk with your healthcare provider about other ways that lansoprazole may be taken.
 
  • Lansoprazole should be taken at the same time each day, to maintain an even level of lansoprazole in your system.
 
  • For lansoprazole to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Lansoprazole will not work if you stop taking it.
