Ketorolac tromethamine (Toradol®) is a prescription drug used for the short-term treatment of moderate to severe pain. It belongs to a class of drugs known as NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). The drug is most often used to treat pain following a procedure. Ketorolac may also be used to relieve back pain, cancer pain, and pain caused by kidney stones. The medication is available in tablet form; it may also be administered through an IV or injection. Side effects of ketorolac most commonly include such things as headache, nausea, and abdominal pain (or stomach pain).
