Ivacaftor Side Effects

Clinical studies have shown that headaches, nasal congestion, and throat pain are some of the most commonly reported side effects of ivacaftor. Although many people tolerate this medication without reactions, serious problems could occur. Let your healthcare provider know right away if you develop reactions such as unexplained swelling, breathing problems, or yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Ivacaftor

Just like any medicine, ivacaftor (Kalydeco™) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
