Halcinonide (
Halog®) ointment and
halcinonide cream are prescription skin medications. They belong to a group of drugs known as topical steroids and are used to treat inflammation and itching due to a wide variety of skin conditions, such as eczema,
psoriasis, dermatitis, and allergic reactions.
Just like any medicine, halcinonide may cause side effects.
However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common side effects of halcinonide include but are not limited to:
- Burning
- Irritation
- Itching
- Dryness.
