Fexofenadine 30 mg Tablets

Fexofenadine (Allegra®) is a medication often used for treating seasonal allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or water eyes. It is available by prescription and comes in several different forms and strengths, including:
 
  • 30 mg tablets
  • 60 mg tablets
  • 180 mg tablets
  • 30 mg ODT (orally disintegrating) tablets 
  • Oral suspension, which contains 30 mg of medication per 5 mL or per teaspoonful.
     
The recommended fexofenadine dosage for adults and children 12 years old and over is 60 mg twice a day or 180 mg once a day. For children ages 6 to 11, the recommended dose is 30 mg twice a day. Children in this age group may need to take the orally disintegrating form of the 30 mg fexofenadine tablets.
