Esomeprazole Side Effects

Other Esomeprazole Side Effects

There are other possible esomeprazole side effects that can occur. These rare side effects occur in less than 1 percent of patients. For these side effects, it is difficult to tell whether the side effect is a result of the medication or caused by another factor.
Some of these possible esomeprazole side effects include, but are not limited to:
  • Broken bones (some studies suggest this or other similar medications may increase the risk of bone fractures)
  • Low blood magnesium (hypomagnesemia).
