Esomeprazole Drug Interactions

Potential drug interactions with esomeprazole may involve medications such as digoxin and diazepam. Drug interactions may also occur with ketoconazole and warfarin. While the following article lists some of the more common problems involving esomeprazole and other drugs, it's possible that interactions may occur with other medications not discussed here.

Esomeprazole Interactions: An Overview

Esomeprazole (marketed under the brand name Nexium®) potentially has a number of other medicines with which it can interact. Some of these common drug interactions may involve the following:
 
  • Certain antifungals, such as:
     
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Voriconazole (VFEND®)
