Ondansetron Hydrochloride
Ondansetron hydrochloride (Zofran®) is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by:
- Chemotherapy
- Radiation
- Surgery.
It is not intended to be used as a treatment for nausea or vomiting that is already occurring.
This medication is sold in several forms, including tablets, orally disintegrating tablets, a liquid, and an intravenous product. The specific type and dosage your healthcare provider recommends will depend on a number of factors, including your age and the medical condition being treated.
