Olopatadine Eye Drops

Olopatadine ophthalmic solution is a drug used for treating symptoms of eye allergies, such as:

  • Stinging or burning of the eyes
  • Watery, teary eyes
  • Red or pink eyes.
  •
Olopatadine comes in the form of eye drops and is sold as two brand-name products: Patanol® (taken twice a day) or Pataday™ (taken just once a day). Regardless of the product you are using, do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, including the surface of the eye. This will help prevent the drops from becoming contaminated.

Burning, headaches, and sore throat are some of the most commonly reported side effects of olopatadine; however, most people are able to use it without any problems.
