Miconazole for Diaper Rash

When a diaper rash occurs along with a yeast infection, your baby may be prescribed miconazole/zinc oxide/white petrolatum (Vusion®). This product contains miconazole, which is an antifungal medication used to treat the yeast infection. It also contains zinc oxide and white petrolatum, which work together to protect delicate and irritated skin.

Your healthcare provider will perform certain tests to confirm your baby has a yeast infection before recommending miconazole. The usual treatment course is seven days. Do not stop using this product too early, even if the diaper rash looks better. It will not work if you stop it too early.
