Donepezil HCl
Sold under the brand name Aricept®, donepezil hydrochloride (HCl) is a prescription medication used to treat the symptoms of mild, moderate, or severe Alzheimer's disease. It is not an Alzheimer's cure, but it can help improve memory, attention, reason, language, and the ability to perform simple tasks.
Donepezil is taken once a day at bedtime and comes in tablet, liquid, and orally disintegrating tablet form. Dizziness, insomnia, and generalized pain are some of the most commonly reported side effects.
